One placement, on the results page.

Spengine sells a single text ad in the search results, under the apparel row and above the athletes. It is the only advertising on the site.

How it works

The terms, before you ask

All of them. There is no second page of conditions.

Text only

A headline, two lines of description, your name and URL, and up to four sitelinks. No images, no video, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts run on the page — the placement is markup we render, not a slot we hand to an ad network.

Always labelled

The unit carries a visible “Sponsored” label above it, and every outbound link is marked rel="sponsored". Both are required — the label by the FTC, the link attribute by Google — and neither is negotiable, including for a longer or larger buy.

Hand-sold and reviewed

There is no self-serve queue. We read every ad before it runs, we do not accept placements aimed at student-athletes as a demographic, and we can decline or pull anything that does not fit.

Reported on what was seen

An impression counts only when the unit has actually been on screen — at least half of it, for a continuous second. A render is not an impression, because that would inflate the number a CTR is calculated from.
